Part 5 [Jun. 4th, 2007|06:02 pm]
[Current Music |Fuck Shit Up - Jon Spencer Blues Explosion]

Oooh, i've been reading up on french new wave cinema and surrealism and i downloaded Un Chien Andalou (the inspiration for the Pixies song Debaser, na derrr!). Its truly wack. Dreams have made more sense! I won't go into detail about the content but i'll just leave you with this: the opening scene is Luis Bunuel (the co director? or co writer, co writer i think, with non other than Salvador Dali! but he also acts, in this scene only) taking a razor and slicing open a woman's eyeball! HUH!?!?!?!?

Part 4 [Jun. 4th, 2007|06:01 pm]
[Current Music |Fuck Shit Up - Jon Spencer Blues Explosion]

But its so hard to get myself motivated to finish off these essays knowing that i'm so close to the end (well, my end) of uni, and as i said its not really an end. Lucky one of my essasys is on Fight Club and my Shakespearean Worlds one isn't so difficult to write about but it just takes time and effort.

FYI: i should be working on that essay right now but i'm doing this instead. SHAME SHAME SHAME. LJ: 1, essay: 0.

Part 3 [Jun. 4th, 2007|05:58 pm]
[Current Music |Fuck Shit Up - Jon Spencer Blues Explosion]

Well i've decided that this will be my final semester of uni for a couple of years. Yes, that's right, a couple of YEARS. I've come to realise that i'm fully sick of uni and although i enjoy some of the content in like my literature subjects and stuff, i don't like uni. And i am sick and tired of doing stuff that i don't want to do (the stuff mainly being uni). But i'm not dropping out, hopefully i can just get through these last essays and pass then defer for a couple of years, you never know i may want to go back later on if i feel i want to.
4 to come...(part four, not four more parts)

Part 2 [Jun. 4th, 2007|05:58 pm]
[Current Music |Wail - Jon Spencer Blues Explosion]

And we're back.

Had a wierd dream the other night, you know the scary girl from the Ring, well she was attacking me but i was fending her off with a wooden placemat of all things. And i was really doing damage, like cutting off limbs and whatnot. But i woke up and was genuinely still scared, in my own bed, in my own room in my house. Lol, i actually pulled the bed covers up a little higher.

Part 1 [Jun. 4th, 2007|05:56 pm]
[Current Music |Wail - Jon Spencer Blues Explosion]

Ok, i'm having trouble posting long entrie so i will break this up into parts.

Hey ho.

Well, its been two weeks now since my sister passed away. Needless to sya its been a tough time for the fam fam. I must admit i'm holding out much better than i anticipated but i still have times of great sadness where i expect to see her in the house and she isn't there. For someone that was so small and never said a word, the house feels so empty without her. The gang has been great (Bourkey, Hot Dog, Brian, Gus and Kerr), really supportive, they've really represented.

Now wait for part 2...

[Current Music |D Is For Dangerous - Arctic Monkeys]

Downloaded some albums i think should be quite promising:

New Arctic Monkeys album (which is 4.5 hours long! the song time average would be 18 minutes. Wait a second, THAT'S NOT RIGHT! I checking that again! ok i have since changed it back to the first version of the album i downloaded, which annoyingly has the first song at the bottom of the list after the last song and i can't move it up to the top, which led to me downloading another version of it )
New Modest Mouse album
Buzzin' by the Vibrators
The U.K Subs first album
Johnny Thunders & the Heartbreakers
And two albums by the Silver Apples
And a few albums of the Drones (started in the 70's then reformed in 2000)(I think)
And the other two Magazine albums
Maximo Park's new album
And finally downloaded Wish You Were Here.

So yeah quite a lot to get through.

Should be a helluva time.

PS. I went into Aldi for the first time and it was seriously like stepping into another dimension, a bizarre parallel of our world. All the items had wierd names but the packaging looked familiar, like with the chips and drinks. Cheese Twisties became Cheesy Twists and the like. All the items were still in the boxes but gaps had been cut into the boxes and they were just stacked on top of others. Everything was set out strangely and i had no idea what to do because i had no points of reference, i wandered around completely unable to buy something but then i saw cansof V, the only thing that was the same as regular world drinkstuffs. But, it was a 4 pack but i bought them anyway. Even the impulse items near the register weren't on any display stands, they were just piled next to the black conveyor belt (which was like 4 metres long).

I find this Aldi shallow and pedantic.

You'll all be happy to know....

I GOT TICKETS TO THE PIXIES!!!

I had to buy them on eBay coz they just sold out too fast, paid a little extra but i'm not too fussed about that because they are the Pixies, once in a lifetime thing.

HotDog is planning to buy the other from me but i haven't committed to that yet because they are my tickets atm (i paid for them, went and got them, and they are now sitting at my home) and i really don't like HotDog at all, so if anyone gives me a good offer i may consider it.

Also sold my old bass on ebay for $250, but fucking shitheads at Billy Hyde are taking forever to get my new one, started out by ordering the wrong bass, then i went in to check on it a week later and found out, so went and changed it but the guy that said he changed it didn't actually change it, then i went in AGAIN to get them the right colour code and had to go home and get it coz they couldn't find it on the website. The guy there asked me if i could get him the colour code that day and i literally called them as soon as i got home (would've been 10 minutes after i spoke to him at the store) only to find out he had left in that time for the day, what a fuckwit! I've since gotten them the right code and its been ordered but what should've taken one week has now been three! But i just checked it out and the guy sent me an email expecting it tomorrow, and that's when my old bass is getting picked up so the transition should be seamless.
